ZTE Nubia Z18 Mini introduced with Snapdragon 660, 18:9 display

ZTE subsidiary Nubia has launched its premium Nubia Z18 Mini in China. The successor to the Z17 Mini comes with modern features like an elegant glass design, a thin-bezel display, dual cameras and more.

The handset does look beautiful with a shiny 3D curved glass on the entire back where a fingerprint reader is also situated. A steel frame runs along the entire edge of the handset. There is a dedicated voice button on the handset like the one seen on past handsets. It activates Nubia’s NeoSmart AI much like Bixby. While the front is dominated by a 5.7-inch Full-HD+ display topped with 2.5D curved glass. While the looks are premium, the processor is a Snapdragon 660 chip stacked with 6GB of RAM.

The rear camera of the phone consists of two sensors, a primary 24MP lens with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP shooter. The top bezel on the front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter which supports face unlock. Nubia claims the smartphone scans 106 facial recognition points for an accurate reading.

Nubia has installed Android 8.1 Oreo on the Z18 Mini wrapped in Nubia UI powered by a 3,450mAh battery. As for connectivity, the sleek handset is 4G VoLTE capable and has USB Type-C.

The Nubia Z18 Mini comes in a plethora of colour options: Glacier White, Diamond Black, Celadon Blue, Ying Yu Powder (Rose Gold), and Limited Provence Edition(Purple / 6GB + 128GB).

It has two variants. The 64GB version will sell for RMB 1,799 (~Rs 18,700) and the 128GB variant will sell for RMB 2,099 (~Rs 21,800). The Limited Edition is priced separately as RMB 2,199 (~Rs 22,800). Pre-orders of the handset are live but sales start on April 19th.
