ZTE Axon 20 5G debuts as world’s first smartphone with under-display camera technology

We recently saw brands like Xiaomi and Oppo showcase their version of an under-display camera, and they stated that these implementations will be commercially available by 2021, well, ZTE just bucked the 2021 trend by launching the world’s first commercially available phone with an Under-display camera, as the ZTE Axon 20 5G. Let us discuss the specifications of the same in brief.

ZTE Axon 5G Specifications

The ZTE Axon 20 5G features a 6.92-inch Full-HD+ display with a fully seamless display due to the absence of any notch or punch hole. The display also comes with 90Hz refresh rate support and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, there is DCI-P3 wide colour gamut support. Inside the display, there is a 32-megapixel selfie sensor.

In terms of performance, the ZTE Axon 20 5G sports the Snapdragon 765G processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. As for the optics, there is a primary 64-megapixel sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. To power this device, ZTE has provided a 4,220 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

Pricing and Availability

The ZTE Axon 20 5G has been priced at CNY 2,198 (INR 23,500) for the base 6+128 GB variant, with the 8+128 GB variant priced at CNY 2,498 (INR 26,690) and the top end 8+256 GB variant priced at CNY 2,798 (INR 29,900). The device will be available in four colour variants black, white, orange, and blue.

The device is currently up for pre-order and will go on sale in China from the 10th of September.
