Update, February 18, 19:00: Xiaomi just doesn’t like to sit idle when it comes to marketing their products. The Mi 9 gets yet another teaser, as the twitter handle of Xiaomi shares that Mi 9 will have a dedicated Google Assistant button. Although, it is interesting to see the global handle of Xiaomi tweeting about the Mi 9 because the handset is not yet launched in China. Below you can see the teaser tweeted by the brand.

Earlier, Feb 18 2019, 15:53: When it comes to teasing the features, Xiaomi could easily acquire a Number 1 spot, the brand has been teasing about the launch of its next flagship smartphone for quite a time now. The latest in the teasers posted by CEO, Lei Jun includes a set of display features touted to arrive on the Mi 9. Let’s take a look at them below.

Mi 9 display features

The co-founder talks about the Samsung AMOLED display panel coming up on Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone. The Mi 9 will also have the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top of the AMOLED display. The in-display fingerprint tech that will be introduced on the phone is teased to be 25% faster than the previous generation model.

With 90.7% screen to body ratio, it is teased to be a best in the class viewing experience. It is evidently higher than 83.66 screen to body ratio on the Mi 8. The sunlight legibility is claimed to be better on this one, thanks to second-gen screen tech. The phone will come pre-loaded with highlight mode and game mode for better display experience. 

The CEO also confirmed that his company’s latest flagship phone will be sporting a third-generation ultrasonic proximity sensor. There will be an eye protection mode to reduce blue light emission, which is said to be certified by the German Institute of Electrical Engineers. 

That’s it as far as the display feature tech is concerned. If you’re interested in the internal specifications, well, then you would have to have for the launch event. But then again, who knows tomorrow we see Mr. Jun posting about the internal specifications of the Mi 9.
