Xiaomi is on a spree to reduce the price tags of its 2018 line-up. After the Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro price cut, the handset manufacturer has announced the same for Redmi Y2. The selfie starrer from the house of Xiaomi will now retail a reduced price of Rs 8,999 for the 3GB model, whereas the 4GB model will now cost Rs 10,999. That’s a price cut of up to Rs 3,000. The new price cut is available for online as well as offline stores, including Amazon India, Mi.com, and Mi Homes. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 specs

Packing a 5.99-inches display, which offers a resolution of HD+ with its 18;( aspect ratio design. Made for the youth of India, Xiaomi teases this phone as a Selfie star smartphone. It packs a 16MP selfie camera which is enabled with AI beautify 4.0 and Face Unlock for that seamless unlocking experience. It will be available in five colour options including Black, Blue, Dark Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold.

The internals of the handset includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which is an Octa-core processor. It is paired with either 3GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM. The internal storage changes as well, with 3GB mode you get a 32GB storage and with 4GB mode you’d see a 64GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot up to 256GB. 

Talking about the rear camera setup, it is powered by a 12MP + 5MP setup. It is aided by several features like PDAF technology, Beautify 4.0, AI portrait mode, low light enhancement, and more. All this is powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery.
