The new Xiaomi Redmi S2 is already enjoying great success, so much so that it could soon reach the Indian market. The confirmation comes from Xiaomi India in its media press-invites. The invite announces the launch of a new smartphone focused on the selfies, will make its appearance on 7th June 2018 in New Delhi.
The image does not explicitly mention the launch of the entry-level Redmi S2, rather it shows an image which includes a half-cut logo and a camera.
Interestingly, multiple reports claim the new Xiaomi Redmi S2 could be renamed as Redmi Y2, which will make it a successor to last year’s Redmi Y1.
Xiaomi claims the Redmi S2 is the best Redmi phone for selfie fans. The phone has a 16-megapixel camera with the pixel size of 2 microns, which is nuts. It includes Face Unlock, AI portrait mode, AI beauty mode, and LED flash to further improve the quality of photos in low light.
It should be emphasized that A- algorithm developed by Xiaomi is used for portrait mode and the beauty mode.
