Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro camera samples are here

For a while now, Xiaomi has been talking about their 64MP camera smartphone. Another reason that the Chinese giant has been in the news for is the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Before you jump to any thoughts, Xiaomi has confirmed what you might have thought. Yes, the company has teased the launch of the Redmi Note 8 Pro along with a 64MP quad-camera setup. Additionally, we also have a word on the storage options and color variants of the device. Let’s take a look.

Update 26/08: Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro processors confirmed; camera samples shared

With just a couple of days left for the launch of the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro, more information about the devices is here. Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will come with the Snapdragon 665, while the Redmi Note 8 Pro will feature the MediaTek Helio G90T processor. This would make the Note 8 Pro the first device to make use of the MediaTek gaming chipset. 

As for the camera, we already know that the Note 8 Pro will come with a quad-camera setup headlined by a 64MP sensor. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 8 wouldn’t be far behind either. The company has confirmed that the Note 8 will come with a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor. The company’s CEO, Lu Weibing, has also shared a couple of camera samples from the device that you can check out below.

Update 22/08: Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro Storage and Color variants

Renowned leakster Ishan Agarwal has shared information about the color options and the storage variants of the Redmi Note 8 series. The Redmi Note 8 Pro will be available in three color options, namely Hail Green, Fritillaria White, and Electro-optic ash. Owing to its comparatively premier status, it will be offered in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB variants. As for the smaller brother, the Redmi Note 8 will be available in Meteorite Black, Fantasy Blue, and White color options. It will be offered in 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB storage variants.


Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro leaks

Redmi recently shared an official teaser poster of the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro. It shows that the device will feature a vertically aligned quad-camera setup followed by a physical fingerprint sensor. This confirms the fact that the Note 8 Pro will not feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. This could be to cut down costs, as well as to additionally confirm that once again, the Redmi device would make use of an LCD display only. However, the highlight of this poster is the confirmation of the presence of a 64MP primary sensor here.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 launch

The launch of the Redmi Note 8 and the Note 8 Pro is scheduled to take place in China on 29th August. It is speculated that while the Redmi Note 8 will also be launched, it won’t feature the 64MP flagship sensor. Also, as of now, there is no word as to when will the Redmi Note 8/Pro come to India.
