Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with a new notched display comprehensively leaked by a YouTuber

Redmi Note 6 Pro - Feature

There are leaks and then there are LEAKS. We’ve just encountered one of the second variety for the Redmi Note 6 Pro. And we must say, it leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. A Pakistani YouTuber has managed to get his hands on a unit of the handset and has posted a 4-minute video shedding light on all facets of the device. Now we did have a live image leak yesterday but nothing satiates curiosity as well as a full-blown HD video, so here’s the link.

Gathering information from the footage, we’ll highlight the most interesting stuff for you here. First off, it’s true, you’re going to see a dual camera setup on the front of the Redmi Note 6 Pro as it was hinted yesterday correctly. The setup is comprised of a dual 20MP + 2MP sensor and it resides in a notch. Yes, it was going to happen and here it is in front of your eyes.

The Note 6 Pro houses a notch and this does not mean there’s no bottom chin. In fact, there’s one as big as last year. The other big headline is a Snapdragon 636 pulling the strings. Xiaomi has chosen to stick with last year’s processor as it did so for a long time with the Snapdragon 625 SoC. The rear camera setup is exactly the same as last year.

As far as the design is concerned, the only change is the notch. Otherwise, it’s the exact same phone. The YouTuber received a 4GB + 64GB variant in Blue colour, so let’s say there will be at least a 4GB variant. Although we know for sure there will be a 6GB variant too. The battery is 4,000mAh and the handset run Android 8.1 Oreo on top of MIUI.

That’s pretty much the gist of the matter here and after this leak, we doubt you’ll need any other leak for the Redmi Note 6. However, nothing’s clear on the official side as Xiaomi has not even shared teasers for the popular budget device.

Update: Unfortunately, the video is down now, but as you can see we were able to save some screengrabs from the video.
