Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to sport dual cameras, Mi Store evidence reveals

Redmi Note 5

A big talking point about Xiaomi’s February 14th launch event is about the identity of the product. Many are now of the opinion that the Redmi Note 5 is in store owing to the evidence that was found in the source code Xiaomi’s teaser homepage. Now, that we do know that the Redmi Note 5 is merely days away from launch, we’re constantly speculating over its specs. Note that the Redmi Note 5 hasn’t launched on Xiaomi’s home soil. Hence, everybody is in the dark as to the possible specs of the popular phone.

One particular aspect in debate is the inclusion of a dual camera. Being the dominant trend in 2017, everyone is expecting Xiaomi to jump the train too. However, we might have come across the first proof that the Redmi Note 5 will have a dual camera on the back.

A close look at Xiaomi’s Mi Store home screen in India reveals sketches of a dual camera device everywhere. This is unlike any device from the Mi Store, leading us to believe that it is indeed the Redmi Note 5. The handset should soon go on sale on the Mi Store and this could be a hint that we’ll be treated to a dual camera. The evidence on the homepage doesn’t necessitate that this will be the case but it is a good probability.

If this is indeed true then this would also mean that there won’t be a Redmi 5 Plus. Since it comes with a single camera setup at the back. Now, provided this does happen, it would be the first time Xiaomi ever launched a device in India before China.
