This new MIUI update comes with a version number and is of 580MB size. It brings a range of gesture features that the company has been teasing on its flagship phone in China, the Mi 8. Notably, the Redmi Note 5 Pro wasn’t the first to receive this update in India. Xiaomi’s selfie centric handset, the Redmi Y2 started receiving an update for the latest MIUI 10 build.

What are the new features on MIUI 10?

Well, the company didn’t reveal the change-log in detail, but the update will include full-screen gestures utilizing the 18:9 aspect ratio of the phone in total. In case you’re wondering about the screen size, it is at 5.99-inch full-HD+ resolution. This update shall further include the September 2018 Android security patch. We also know that this software upgrade will introduce support to some natural and ambient sounds as teased by Xiaomi on stage at the launch event.

Do make a note that this update is being rolled out in the phased manner. It means you shall have to wait for the update to arrive, not all phones would be receiving it all-together. This will help the company to fix any issues reported by the early adopters. Drop your feedback in the comment below if you have got this update for your Redmi Note 5 Pro.
