Xiaomi Redmi 7A with Snapdragon 439 SoC coming to India on July 4

Xiaomi is all set to upgrade its entry-level smartphone offering in India. Today in an exclusive interview with 91Mobiles, Anuj Sharma, Head of Marketing at Xiaomi, has Redmi 7A is going to reach Indian shores soon. Unfortunately, he didn’t spill the beans on the launch date, not even a launch window, when we can expect the device to arrive in India.

Update: Xiaomi’s Global VP and India Head, Manu Kumar Jain has today announced on Twitter the launch date of Redmi 7A. The new entry-level handset is all set arrive this week on July 4. Stay tuned in on the launch day as we bring you all the updates. 

Xiaomi Redmi 7A Specifications 

Xiaomi’s new upgrade, the Redmi 7A will be offering better chipset and improved battery performance when compared to Redmi 6A. Whereas the rest of the specifications of the successor remains the same. Let’s talk about the Redmi 7A specifications. 

Sporting a 5.45-inch display with HD+ and boots MIUI based on Android Pie. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn’t offer a fingerprint sensor, while these days many entry-level smartphones have come up with the biometric security feature. 

Talking about under the hood hardware, it has a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 439 processor. It was announced in China with three configurations including 2GB + 16GB, 2GB + 32GB, and 3GB + 32GB. As far as the camera department is concerned, it has a single 13MP resolution shooter on the rear. While on the front it has a 5MP selfie snapper with AI functionalities. 

The battery capacity of 4000mAh capacity. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The handset is said to arrive in two colours – Black and Blue. The Redmi 7A price in China starts at Rs 5,500 approximately (549 Yuan), while the highest variant is priced at Rs 8,000 approximately (799 Yuan).
