Xiaomi’s PatchWall 3.0 rolls out for its Mi TV series in India with Disney+ Hotstar integration and more

Update: We suggested that Mi TV users can manually update the software by heading to the settings. But that’s not the case. The PatchWall 3.0 update will be automatically updated in the background. All you need to do is just fire up your TV and stay connected to the internet. 

India’s number smartphone and smart TV brand have today announced the roll-out of its new PatchWall update. It’s the third major update, dubbed as PatchWall 3.0. The highlight of this new version is the deep integration of Disney+ Hotstar integration and the addition of new content partners. This means Xiaomi Mi TV users will have more hours of content to watch in trying times amid country-wide lockdown.

Mi TV range gets new PatchWall 3.0 Update

The manufacturer first introduced the PatchWall TV UI with the introduction of its new Mi TV range in 2018. PatchWall is more than just an interface, it is the way of consuming content. Xiaomi has taken content-first approach here on its Mi TV range which includes and not limited to Mi TV 4A, Mi TV 4C Pro, Mi TV 4A Pro, Mi TV 4 Pro, Mi TV 4X, and Mi TV 4X Pro.

Note that all the television models mentioned above will be getting the PatchWall 3.0 update starting today. So, if the updated hasn’t popped up on your Mi TV yet, we suggest you head over to the software update section to enjoy the latest features and content integration on your smart TV.

The new update brings more than just new content partners, it also focuses on introducing new UI features. For example, now you can do horizontal scrolling while browsing through titles to watch. There are new cleaner animations, an all-new font named Mi Lanting Pro which was introduced on MIUI 11.
