Xiaomi India today has announced its successive iterations of numerous IoT products aiming for a better/smarter future at the Mi Smarter Living 2022 event, which was held as an online-only event, of course. The event showcased a slew of products, including new fitness accessories, laptops, security cameras, connectivity options, and whatnot. Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi Router 4A-Gigabit Edition
Aiming to deliver faster internet speeds, Xiaomi has announced Mi Router 4A-Gigabit Edition. The device is powered by a dual-core CPU underneath, and on the outer side, it incorporates three gigabit network ports and four high-gain antennas, and the router promises a speed of 1167Mbps. It packs in several security and safety controls through an app that comprises Wi-Fi optimization, anti-hacking protection, parental control, to name a few. Further, there is dual-band integration support, which supports a single Wi-Fi name.
The Mi Router 4A-Gigabit Edition launched in India is priced at Rs 2,199 and will be available for purchase through the Mi India site, Flipkart, Mi Home, or any exclusive retail stores for that matter.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro
The new 360-degree security camera here promises a hawk-eye view of everything. The camera equips 2K video resolution support for better quality. In addition, there’s a physical shield for consumers concerned for privacy. The security camera offers better low light capture with its f/1.5 aperture lens. And, there’s two-way voice calling support in addition to dual-band Wi-Fi support.
The Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro comes at Rs 4,499 and will be available through Amazon India and Mi India site alongside Mi Home and other retail stores.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi TV5X series
The Mi TV5X series comprises three new models: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch variants. All models come in a carbon fibre finish on the back and feature a metallic stand. The displays come with a 96.6% screen to body ratio. Besides, they support Dolby Vision, HDR10+/10, and HLG certifications. They also promise vivid pictures in conjunction with smart adaptive brightness features. All models run on PatchWall 4 operating system (Android-10 based), including support IMDB (internet movie database) rating for each movie listed.
The newer Patchwall OS is upgraded to more than 75 live channels and features universal search with the support of up to thirty OTT platforms. Moreover, these series of TVs come with Kids mode and far-field microphones with the support of Google Assistant. Lastly, they have Google Chromecast built-in and Android Play Store, as well.
As for pricing, Right the starting variant, the Mi TV 5X 43 is priced at Rs.31,999, the Mi TV 5X 50 at Rs.41,999, and the Mi TV 5X 55 at Rs.47,999.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi Band 6
The legacy of the notable Mi Band continues with the launch of the next iteration — the Mi Band 6. For the first time, the band sports a full-screen AMOLED display, which measures 1.56-inches that is said to be fifty percent brighter than the Mi Band 5 and has a 326ppi pixel density.
To track blood oxygen levels, the Mi Band 6 features SpO2 tracking functionality, accompanied by a stress monitor, and women’s health tracking comprising menstrual tracking. In addition, the band comes with up to 30 fitness models; 5ATM water-resistant rating, a 125mAh battery promising a fourteen-day battery life; and supports magnetic charging. There are apps accompanying the band: Mi Fit and Xiaomi Wear app. Users can access their workout routines, SpO2 levels, tweak notification alerts, and change watch faces.
The Mi Band 6 retails at Rs 3,499 and supports four colour straps, excluding the black strap.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Xiaomi Running Shoes
The latest running shoes come with a solid sole, made of five layers: PU Heel Stabilizer, Anti-Twist Support Layer, TPU Flex Unit, Cloud Bomb Popcorn Midsole, Ultra Strong Rubber Grip.
There are three colour options in which consumers can get these: Black, Blue, and Grey. Users can buy these at a special crowdfunding price of Rs 2,699.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi NoteBook Ultra
The flagship laptop from Xiaomi is here — the Mi NoteBook Ultra, which is made of series six aluminium comprising an aircraft grade alloy. The notebook comes with a 15.6-inch 90Hz screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 242ppi. The display has an 89% screen to body ratio, and there’s a 720p HD web camera sitting on top of it. The laptop features a power button, which simultaneously acts as a fingerprint sensor for authentication. Then there’s the keyboard with backlit support (up to three brightness levels), accompanied by a 62% larger trackpad with gesture control support.
The Mi NoteBook Ultra comes in two models: both running on 11th-Gen Intel H35 series processors underneath — there’s one with Core i5-11300H and another with Core i7-11370H. Both run on Intel Iris Xe graphics. The models support TUV Rheinland, and DC Dimming for eye safety. They feature two 2W stereo speakers accompanied by a DTS audio processing app. On the I/O, there are a generous amount of ports, including a Thunderbolt 4 port for charging.
The notebooks support up to 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of NVMe SSD in terms of memory. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The Mi NoteBook Ultra promises a twelve-hour battery life and claims to be topped up to 50% in a mere 45-minutes with the included 65W adapter in the box.
The Mi NoteBook Ultra retails at Rs 59,999.
Mi Smarter Living 2022 – Mi NoteBook Pro
The Mi NoteBook Pro is the cheaper model that features an all-metal body design; weighing 1.4 kilograms and measuring 17.3mm in thickness. The Pro model has a 2.5K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, alongside 100% sRGB support, TUV Rheinland and DC Dimming support.
Like the Ultra, the Pro models also have notebooks running on Intel’s 11th Gen TigerLake i5 and i7 processors; with Intel Iris X3 graphics under the hood. The NoteBook Pro models support up to 16GB 3200MHz RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD. In terms of connectivity and I/O; the Pro (s) come with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support and equip a Thunderbolt 4 port, USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack port as well.
The NoteBook Pro claims an 11-hour battery life alongside a 50% top-up in 34-minutes with a USB Type-C charger included in the retail packaging. The other highlights of the Mi NoteBook Pro include Windows 10 Home, ships with Microsoft Home and Student edition 2019, and Mi Smart Share support.
The Mi NoteBook Pro costs Rs 56,999.
