Apart from Xiaomi’s Redmi Note line, the Mi Max series is also a well-known offering. It comes under the phablet category with a huge 6.4-inch or bigger screen and a battery of gargantuan proportions. That 6.4-inch has now become the norm due to thin bezels and notches and so it seems standard. Regardless, the Mi Max 3, a refresh of the Mi Max, seems to be on the cards for Xiaomi. The handset seems to have appeared on 3C with a model number ‘M1807E8S’.
Mi Max 3 Specifications
Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, has previously confirmed a launch in June for the Mi Max 3. This certification coupled with the charging details suggest this could be the Max series phone. The power brick’s model number is shown to be “MDY-08-ES” and it supports 5VDC 3A/9VDC 2A/12VDC 1.5A, up to 18W fast charging.
As per previous leaks, the Mi Max 3 will likely feature a huge 7.0-inch display that could propel it into tablet category. This would also be accompanied by a bump in the already monstrous battery of 5,500mAh capacity. Recent rumours suggested a Snapdragon 660 chipset while new rumours are claiming a Snapdragon 710 chip on the device.
We’re also likely to see dual rear cameras and the now mandatory AI quirks that everyone seems to be talking about in launches. Besides 3C certification, we still await the handset to pass TENAA. When that happens, we’ll be able to separate the wheat from the chaff.
