The Mi A2 has long been rumoured to be in the works, even though no official signs have confirmed the handset. Fans of the Mi A1 have voiced their opinions and made it clear that they want a sequel. For them, a new Mi A2 video leaked online today at least ending their worst fears that there won’t be a Mi A1 successor.
Also, the video of the prototype Mi A2 was quite long enough to cover all aspects of the device. However, it has been taken down for now. Thankfully, people were around to capture screen snapshots from the clip and we can at least take a look at the images.
The appearance of the Mi A2 on this Spanish channel – PimpiTronic, tells us that we could be very close to a launch of the smartphone. It also clears the fact that this will simply be a repackaged Mi 6X.
Mi A2 Specifications
Quickly recapping the Mi 6X, it features a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display that works in tandem with the powerful Snapdragon 660 chip. It has a powerful camera setup of 12MP + 20MP on the rear, and a very able 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor on the front. Recently, a Mi A2 lite version was certified in Singapore fanning rumours of a Lite variant of the MiA2. As things stand, Xiaomi is still to break its silence on anything concerning the MiA2.
