A few days ago we reported a rumour suggesting that Xiaomi is working on a gaming smartphone. Black Shark, the Chinese manufacturer’s subsidiary had dropped subtle hints on Weibo to confirm this news. Today the gaming smartphone has leaked, proving all the rumours to be true.
An unknown device called ‘Blackshark’ has been spotted on AnTuTu and some of its major specs have been leaked. The phone will be a big deal owing to the premium hardware on it. Is Xiaomi going to compete with the Razer phone? We hope so. Let’s look at all the leaked specs and feast our eyes:
Xiaomi’s gaming phone leaks: specifications
The AnTuTu listing has been spotted on Weibo. According to the listing, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. The GPU on the device will be Adreno 630. The Blackshark will arrive with a massive 8GB of RAM and average 32GB of storage. However, speculations suggest 64GB ROM and 128GB ROM variants in making as well.
Not only this, the phone is expected to arrive with the trending 18:9 aspect ratio display. The display resolution of the phone will be 1080 x 2160p. It is also expected to run Android Oreo-based MiUI. The Blackshark has scored impressive 270,680 points on AnTuTu which surpasses the score of the Galaxy S9+.
However, these are all just leaks. The phone might just be another smartphone by the company. The gaming arena is completely new for Xiaomi and the company hasn’t yet made any official statement.
