Xiaomi’s Black Shark gaming phone launches tomorrow. Well, technically it isn’t Xiaomi’s phone but the Black Shark brand has clear backing of Xiaomi. Before tomorrow’s launch, here are some freshly leaked images that look like the real deal.
At first glance, the black handset looks like a phone suited for one-handed daily use. It also has big top and bottom bezels. The lower bezel has a home button which in all likeliness also houses a fingerprint scanner. It is hard to say just from the image whether it is an 18:9 or 16:9. However, previous benchmarks have clearly suggested a Full-HD+ resolution.
The rear of the phone has a unique camera design. It shows a long horizontal bar which houses all the sensors.
MIUI or no?
Also, the active screen shows a UX reminiscent of MIUI. It wouldn’t be surprising to see MIUI on the phone considering it is backed by Xiaomi. Apart from that, a detachable Bluetooth controller had earlier leaked in the flesh. This particular image shows the accessory printed on the box.
In the background of the above image, there is a box that contains the image of what looks like a Bluetooth gaming controller that could be attached to the topside of the phone. Users may attach it to the Black Shark phone and benefit from immersive gaming experience by holding it in a landscape mode.
In addition to design, the handset will harbour the Snapdragon 845 with 6GB/8GB of RAM internally. Expect pricing details at tomorrow’s launch event in China.
