Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 12 Ultra by the end of this year. The camera specifications of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship have been revealed in a recent leak. The device will reportedly feature a 50MP primary sensor and will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (or Snapdragon 898) chipset. Now, a new report claims that the company might launch another model in the series, dubbed as the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced, which could be a superior model to the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
According to a recent report by Xiaomiui, Xiaomi could be working on two new devices, codenamed Loki and Thor, corresponding to Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced smartphones, respectively. The Xiaomi 12 Pro reportedly has a codename, Zeus.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Rumoured Specifications
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced will reportedly be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (or Snapdragon 898) chipset. On the imaging front, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is said to be equipped with a 50MP quad-rear camera setup, which is accompanied by a 48MP camera with a 2x zoom, a 48MP camera with a 5x zoom, and a 48MP camera with a 10x zoom. To recall, the Mi 11 Ultra was launched with a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens.
The report also suggests that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra series might be exclusive to China, and the smartphones are expected to launch in Q2 2022 similar to the Mi 11 Ultra, earlier this year. However, Xiaomi has neither confirmed the devices nor revealed any details about their specifications at this time.
