Xiaomi 11 Lite NE is the next 5G device from the company with support for up to 12 5G bands launched in the country today. It claims to be the slimmest 5G handset in the country, weighing in at just 158g and measuring 6.81mm in thickness. The device falls under the latest Xiaomi Mi 11 series, which already has Mi 11 Ultra 5G, Mi 11X Pro 5G, Mi 11X 5G, and Mi 11 Lite. The site also suggests that this is the first phone to ditch the ‘Mi’ branding in favor of the Xiaomi moniker.
The phone comes in two storage models and the base variant starts at Rs 26,999, and the larger storage model comes at Rs 28,999. However, there seems to be effective pricing on these models for a limited time, which makes the base model 6GB+128GB cost Rs 23,499 and the larger variant 8GB+128GB retail at Rs 25,499. Users can purchase these devices from the Mi India site, Amazon India, Mi Home, and retail stores. The sale starts on October 2nd.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite has a matte finish on the rear, which the company calls a halo ring design. Further, it includes anti-glare frosted glass, which promises to minimize fingerprint marks. It has slim bezels alongside the slimmer body and the camera module is seemingly nearly flat with a minimum of 1.77mm protruding out.
The display on the front is a punch-hole display measuring 6.55-inches which comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz of touch sampling rate. It supports 10-bit color accuracy; supports Widevine L1; is optimized for Netflix; supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The device further comes in four color variants: Jazz Blue, Tuscany Coral, Diamond Dazzle, and Vinyl Black.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE equips a triple rear camera setup — with a 64MP f/1.79 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119-degree field of view, and a 5MP tele-macro camera. The video capabilities with these cameras include special movie effects: a time freeze mode, night time-lapse mode, freeze-frame video, slow shutter, and more. The punch hole selfie camera on the front is a 20MP camera with ultra-wide support as well.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G SoC, which brings in 5G support that includes a wide range of 12 5G bands. When compared to the predecessor, the SoC here claims to offer a 40% increase in graphics performance and a 40% increase in CPU performance as well. For graphics, the chipset equips Adreno 642L GPU. In terms of storage, the device supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 of built-in storage.
The device has a mediocre 4250mAh battery capacity underneath, which charges through USB Type-C; and supports 33W fast charging with the respective adapter included in the box.
The other highlights of the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G include dual stereo speakers; side-mounted fingerprint sensor; multi-functional NFC support; has support to native Google Phone and Messages app; Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band WiFi; ships with MIUI 12.5 with support to three years of software updates, and four-years of security updates.
