Vivo Y95 launched in India, brings Snapdragon 439 SoC and 20MP selfie camera

Vivo has been able to capture a large portion of the Indian smartphone market lately, thanks to decent hardware and a good looking design. Their recent offering is no different. The Chinese giant recently launched the Vivo Y95 in India. The device brings forth a couple of interesting features along with a decent price tag.

Vivo Y95 specifications

The Vivo Y95 is the successor to the Vivo Y93. The device comes with a revamped design and upgraded internals. It packs in a 6.22-inch HD+ Halo FullView display with a resolution of 1520x 720pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 439 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. In fact, it is the first smartphone in the market to bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. The company claims that it “ensures ultra-smooth performance for everyday smartphone operations.” The device comes with only 64GB of internal storage. 

As for the camera, the device packs a 13MP+2MP dual camera setup on the back. However, up front, things get quite interesting. It comes with a 20MP selfie shooter on the front. It is an AI-based selfie camera that is also used for Face Unlock. The device ships with Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Powering the entire setup is a massive 4,030 mAh battery.

Vivo Y95 price and availability

The Vivo Y95 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 16,990. It comes in two color variants – Starry Black and Nebula Purple. The phone will be available on Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, all offline partner outlets and Vivo India E-store.
