Vivo Y89 with Snapdragon 626 SoC launched at Rs 16,499 approximately

Vivo has quietly launched its latest Y series handset dubbed as Y89. It is officially listed on the company’s china website as well as on AliExpress for sale at 1598 Yuan, which appromitaley translates to Rs 16,499. It is available in two-colour variants including an Aurora Purple and Black Gold. Lately, Vivo has been quite actively releasing its Y series in India and China as well. Vivo Y89 features

Sporting a 6.26-inch full-HD+ display with a conventional notch design, it offers relatively smaller chin compared to phones in its price range. Talking about the internals, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, which is an Octa-core chipset. It is accompanied by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card slot. 

Coming to the camera department, it has a dual rear camera setup that is aligned vertically. The primary lens is of 16MP resolution with f/2.0 aperture lens. Whereas the secondary lens is of 2MP resolution. There is flash support as well for capturing better night shots. Vivo Y89 offers various shooting modes like professional mode, panorama, beauty, AR shoot, backlight photo, slow motion, filters, and more. 

As far as the connectivity features are concerned, it has a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 2.4G/5.8G, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and more. There are a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition feature that counts for biometric security sensors. All this is powered by. 3260 mAh capacity battery.

In related news, Vivo recently launched its Y91 smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs 10,990. It is the company’s one of the cheapest smartphones with latest trendy features like notch design, face unlock, and more. The Y91 was launched in China and it later came to India. That may be the case with the Y89 as well.
