Vivo Y21A is now official in the country. The device falls under the budget segment to cater for the masses and the highly competitive market in the country. The device comes with a slimmer form factor measuring 8mm, a bigger battery with fast charge support, and an extended RAM feature. According to the company, all these features-packed phone is targeted at millennials with a bigger display and a more prominent battery that supports fast charging.

The Vivo Y21A is priced at Rs 13,990. The device comes in an exclusive 4GB+64GB variant and will be available starting January 24th through the Vivo India estore and across all partner retail stores.

The Vivo Y21A measures 8mm in thickness, weighs 182 grams, is made of plastic (the frame), and has a 2.5D curved flat frame, accompanied by a 6.51-inch LCD display with HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution. The company calls it a Halo View display that comes with eye-protection mode. The available colour options that the device comes in include — Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow.

Hardware

Under the hood, the Vivo Y21A has MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device further supports virtual RAM of an additional 1GB. There is microSD expansion support for onboard storage with which you extend it up to 1TB.

As for software, it ships with Funtouch OS 11.1 out of the box, which is Android 11-based. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication, supports Face Unlock Feature, and has Multi Turbo 5.0 to enhance data protection and boost the SoC performance. Vivo also suggests there is a cooling solution across components that supposedly keeps the Vivo Y21A cool during intensive gameplay.

Cameras

For optics, the Vivo V21 has dual rear cameras — 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.2 and f/2.4 apertures, respectively. The rear camera supports many modes comprising Photo, Portrait, Video, Pano, Live Photo, to name a few. The front camera carries an 8MP shooter, for selfies.

The Vivo V21A incorporates dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C interface, GPS, OTG support, and FM in terms of connectivity.
