Vivo has finally unveiled its new 5G smartphone – the Vivo V20 Pro 5G in India. This 5G smartphone adds to its current Vivo V20 series lineup, which already has Vivo V20 and Vivo V20 SE. The latest 5G phone arrives for the mid-range segment in the country and directly competes with the OnePlus Nord 5G as both feature the same Snapdragon 5G processors. Also, the Vivo V20 Pro 5G comes with dual selfie cameras alongside triple rear cameras. The phone has witnessed its launch earlier in global markets, and now it is official in India.

Vivo V20 Pro 5G — Design and Specs

The new 5G phone resembles familiar in construction when compared to the Vivo V20 smartphone. The back, however, seems more premium featuring new matte glass gradient finish, which promises to give a comfortable grip to hold. Also, there’s a chemical processing, which the company says should save from scratches and it additionally features AF coating. Also, the phone claims to be the slimmest 5G device out in the market.

The screen on the front measures 6.44-inches with Full HD+ resolution, meaning it has 408ppi and comes with 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is an AMOLED panel and also comes with HDR10 support. For protection, the display comes with SCHOTT Xensation Up, and on the rear, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chipset powers the Vivo V20 Pro 5G smartphone. The latest octa-core processor from the chipset maker is 5G capable and is made on a 7nm process. It achieves clock speeds of 2.4GHz, and the chipset further accompanies Qualcomm Adreno 620 GPU, for graphics.

The memory options on the device include — 8GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128GB of onboard storage (UFS 2.1).

Vivo V20 Pro 5G — Camera

There are dual selfie cameras on the front of the device. They sit on the notch upfront. The selfie cameras comprise a 44MP f/2.0 primary camera, and there’s secondary 8MP f/2.28 for ultra-wide selfies. These cameras additionally feature eye autofocus, super night selfies, slow-mo selfie, dual video modes and more. The dual selfie cameras also support 4K video recording.

There are triple rear cameras on the Vivo V20 Pro 5G with 64MP f/1.89 acting as the primary camera. It further accompanies an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The primary camera features include motion autofocus mode, Super Night Mode, Super wide angle night mode, super macro mode, to list a few. They also support 4K video recording.

Vivo V20 Pro 5G — Battery

The new 5G phone draws power from a decent 4000mAh battery. It charges through USB Type-C and supports Vivo’s 33W FlashCharge technology. It allows users to charge up the battery up to 65% in thirty minutes.

The other highlights of the Vivo V20 Pro 5G include vapour chamber cooling and multi turbo acceleration to achieve smoother gaming experience. The device ships with FuntouchOS 11 (Android 10-based) out of the box. The comapny promises to roll out Android 11 OTA update within the first week of December. The connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Dual SIM stand by, and of course 5G.

The 5G device will feature two colour options — Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G comes at Rs 29,990 for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built storage variant.
