Vivo Nex 3 5G with curved OLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC announced in China

Vivo has today announced its latest premium flagship smartphone in the NEX line-up. At an event happening in China, the brand has finally showcased the much awaited Vivo Nex 3 5G. Vivo’s all-new ultra-curved display phone makes us realize how cool can a phone with nearly 99.6% display look. Below, let’s talk more on the numbers. 

Vivo Nex 3 5G Specifications

Sporting a 6.89-inch OLED screen, which is curved in nature, offers 2256 x 1080 pixel resolution. The side bezels are virtually non-existent, as per Vivo. One of the highest complaints received for the previous model was the increased accidental palm touches. But the brand promises a new and improved Accidental Touch 4.0 software work is laid out for better plan rejection. 

Running on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, this phone is said to be offering high performance. The camera setup packs triple rear sensors in a circular manner. It is headlined by a 64MP sensor. There is a 4500mAh capacity battery with a 44W fast charging support.

As far as the connectivity is concerned, it offers a range of them. Starting with audio experience, there is a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) support. It’s an Ak4377 Hi-Fi Audio DAC. The highlight of the connectivity section feature is the 5G Ready status. While its name suggests that already, it indeed is a brilliant feature to get excited for. 

Talking about the camera system, it has a 64MP Samsung sensor with f/1.7 aperture size. It is used to shoot pixel-binned 16MP shots or 64MP images. There are two sensors; both 13MP resolution. Where one sensor doubles up as a wide-angle lens and a macro lens for close shots up to 1.4cm. The Vivo Nex 5G’s camera is said to offer up to 20X zoom using data combined from the telephoto lens and 64MP sensor. 

Vivo Nex 3 5G Price

The Vivo Nex 3 4G model will go for sale at 4998 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 50,000. Whereas the 5G model will go for 5698 Yuan, i.e. Rs 58,000 approximately. If that’s the pricing, it may put it out as a great competitor against phones like Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
