Tecno Pova with MediaTek Helio G80 and 6000mAh battery launched in India at Rs 9,999

Tecno Pova has launched in the Indian market. The phone had earlier seen its launch in several global markets. The new budget smartphone from the company features a punch-hole display and comes with the Helio G80 chipset. The Tecno Pova will be available as Flipkart exclusive, the first sale goes on December 11th. The Pova starts at Rs 9,999 (4GB+64GB) and comes in two storage variants. The larger 6GB + 128GB storage option costs Rs 11,999.

Tecno Pova — Tech Specs

The latest Pova features a more prominent 6.8-inches display with a punch hole; the company calls it a dot-in display. The punch hole display comes in an HD+ resolution. It features a screen to body ratio of 90.4%. On the back, the Pova comes with a glossy texture finish. The phone features in Magic Blue, Speed Purple, and Dazzle Black colour options.

The Tecno Pova equips MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC underneath. The G80 earlier featured in phones like the Poco M2, and realme Narzo 10, for instance. The octa-core processor can achieve clock speeds of up to 2GHz. For graphics, the chipset supports ARM Mali G52 MC2. The phone additionally features Game Mode and Game Assistant that claim to provide a smoother gaming experience. The device further comes with thermally conductive material under the hood, which promises to control heat dissipation effectively.

The Tecno Pova features a single storage variant, which comprises up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. The phone’s software includes HiOS 7.0, which is an Android 10-based operating system.

Tecno Pova — Cameras

On the front, the Pova arrives with an 8MP selfie camera featured in a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner of the device. The AI selfie camera also features dual flash placed on each corner of the phone’s speaker. The front camera also supports AI beauty and AI portrait modes.

The rear cameras appear in a rectangular camera module comprising four cameras. There’s a 13MP f/1.85 camera working as the primary sensor. Also, there are 2MP depth and macro sensor in association with another AI lens. These are cameras that support many different modes like AI beauty, Super night mode, portrait and more.

Tecno Pova — Battery

The Nova comes in a massive 6000mAh battery capacity. It charges through USB Type-C and supports company’s 18W Dual IC fast charge as well.
