Sony Xperia’s OS, Sailfish X now available to download and purchase

Sailfish X in Sony Xperia

Are you a Xperia user? If yes, then this news is for you. Jolla and Sony made a partnership earlier this year with a motive to bring Sailfish Operating System (OS) to Xperia devices. Jolla announced in August this year about Sailfish X being the OS for Xperia and said that it would be launched by the end of September. It also mentioned about the OS being a paid service.

Being a little late that it is, the Sailfish X has been launched (finally) and would be available to purchase and download from today itself.

The instructions are only for Windows users as of now and the other users (Android and macOS) will get them later on.

One negative trait about this OS is that it doesn’t support some features like Bluetooth, new sensors, fingerprint, and FM-radio.

The Sailfish X costs €49.90 or $59.16 and is available in the European Union, Norway, and Switzerland.

Are you waiting for it to launch in your country? How do you feel about this new OS?
