Voice assistants are becoming a key aspect of smartphones these days. Earlier, you could use voice commands to ask Google Assistant to send text messages to contacts on WhatsApp, and now, you can even send voice messages.
To be able to use this feature, you need to have the following pre-requisites
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS or above
- Google Assistant enabled on your device
Here are the Steps
Open Google app
Select Settings from Hamburger menu on the top left corner of the screen
Tap on “Ok Google detection” and set up the assistant.
After Google Assistant Setup is complete, then simply say “Ok Google, send a voice message to John”
It will start the voice recording app, and you can record clips up to 30 minutes. Once you are done speaking, Google Assistant will ask if you want to listen to the playback, delete and record again or send it. Simply say “send” and it will send the voice message to the recipient right away.
Note:- The feature works when sending a voice message to individual contacts, but you cannot send it to WhatsApp groups yet.
