Yes, fellas, Samsung has begun the production of the 512 GB storage it is a huge jump from the 256 GB internal storage that we are accustomed to seeing. Earlier it all began with 4 GB inbuilt memory in smartphones and then the latest 256 GB. Now it will be interesting to know if Samsung will use it in the Samsung Galaxy S9 or not.
Jaesoo Han (Samsung’s VP of Memory Sales & Marketing) said, “By assuring an early, stable supply of this advanced embedded storage, Samsung is taking a big step forward in contributing to timely launches of next-generation mobile devices by mobile manufacturers around the world.”
The latest flash storage will have the Samsung’s 512 GB V-NAND chip this will eliminate the need to have a microSD card.
There is a rise in the density of the 256 GB storage from 48 layers to 64 layers, the company is also increasing performance and increasing its energy efficiency. The read and write speeds have increased and the read speed has reached up to 860 MB per second and the write speed up to 255 MB per second.
