Samsung has teamed with multifaceted Paris-meets-Tokyo lifestyle brand Kitsuné to bring two new special editions of its current wearables — the Galaxy Watch 4 Maison Kitsuné Edition and the Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsuné Edition. The idea behind this collaboration is simple — to bring Maison Kitsuné’s playfulness into the Samsung Galaxy.
The Galaxy Watch4 Maison Kitsuné Edition gives you the option to choose between two different straps — Moonrock Beige and Stardust Gray. The former features the brand’s signature Fox logo along with engraving, while the latter features the brand’s lettering. Both the straps look pretty nice and offer the customers to juggle between alternate looks and switch up their styles. Of course, the special edition Galaxy Watch 4 also comes with custom watch faces. But apart from the cosmetic changes, the specs and the core software experience, i.e. One UI atop Wear OS stay exactly the same as the regular Galaxy Watch 4.
Coming to the Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsuné Edition, well, this is where both the strap finishes of the Galaxy Watch 4 are perfectly blended together. So, the special edition Buds 2 come in Moonrock Beige colour, but they are housed in a Stardust Gray leather case featuring Maison Kitsuné Fox’s logo up top. As for the buds themselves, the right earbud features the fox’s head while the left earbud showcases its tail, and according to the South Korean Giant, this is meant to represent the uninterrupted journey through the Samsung Galaxy.
Besides this, both the Galaxy Watch 4 Maison Kitsuné Edition and the Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsuné Edition also come with an NFC inside their boxes, which will let the customers install an exclusive phone theme. Additionally, the playlist has also been curated by the brand’s music label Kitsuné Musique, to celebrate the partnership.
The lone 40mm variant of the Galaxy Watch4 Maison Kitsuné Edition costs about $400 (roughly Rs. 29,920). The Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsuné Edition costs about $250 (roughly Rs. 18,700). In terms of availability, limited batches of both the special edition wearables are already up for purchase in select markets. Samsung hasn’t revealed any details regarding the Indian launch.
