Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is now official in the country. It comes with an all-new design and also advanced features. Focused on your daily entertainment needs, it comes with a bigger screen, bigger battery, and acclaimed audio experience. The Galaxy Tab A8 will feature three colour variants — Grey, Silver, and Pink Gold. The Galaxy Tab A8 Wi-Fi variant costs Rs 17,999 for the base model (3GB+32GB), and the larger variant (4GB+64GB) is priced at Rs 19,999. There are LTE models: the base variant retails at Rs 21,999 (3GB+32GB) and the larger storage option (4GB+64GB) costs Rs 23,999.

Display

The Galaxy Tab A8 has a 10.5-inch display with 1920 x 1200 resolution. It has slimmer bezels and features a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to Samsung, the display has an 80 per cent screen to body ratio that promises a more immersive viewing experience. In addition to the immersive display, quad speakers are equipped in the Galaxy Tab A8 with Dolby Atmos certification to ensure users enjoy a rich stereo sound. As well as a cinematic experience, Samsung claims.

Hardware

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor with up to 2GHz of clock speeds — that promises smoother multitasking, uninterrupted gaming, and seamless app navigation. Users can split-screen and use two apps side-by-side and an additional pop-up window for multitasking.

The tab further features up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of built-in storage. There’s support for microSD expansion for up to 1TB. It applies to both LTE and non-LTE (Wi-Fi) models. The Galaxy Tab A8 has a bigger 7040mAh battery capacity, supporting a 15W fast charging through a USB Type-C interface.

The Galaxy Tab A8 equips an 8MP rear camera with a 5MP selfie shooter. Samsung is introducing a new screen recorder feature on this tablet. For educational purposes, this feature allows users to record clear, detailed videos of tutorials or lectures or even for self-recording. In terms of safety, the Galaxy Tab A8 comes with Samsung’s Knox security, and for authentication, it has a face recognition feature. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.0.
