Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the next anticipated flagship smartphone expected to launch early next year. The alleged images, although are now leaked online. Tipster, Jon Prosser, has published real-world images of what appears to be the Ultra model on his FrontPageTech.com blog post. The images showcase what to expect from the next flagship device. It includes native S-Pen support that was earlier seen only on the now-discontinued Galaxy Note series’ models.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra — Real-world images
While the S-Pen support is not new to non-Note Galaxy devices: the recent Galaxy S21 Ultra and the latest Galaxy Fold devices have it. But, they don’t have the dedicated slot to place it in. The new offering implies the alleged Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a dedicated S-Pen slot like the earlier Galaxy Note devices.
Not just the real-world images, the report also suggests we can expect the launch of the Galaxy S22 series in the second week of February 2022. This makes it a month distant from what we have seen with the Galaxy S21 series, which happened in early January, this year. The report further indicates we can expect the much-rumored Galaxy S21 FE launch before the flagship’s launch. It is in likely the coming January 2022.
While the launch is months ahead, the alleged real-world images, yet, reveal the device in all its glory. On the front, it comes with a conventional Infinity-O display, which is quite familiar with the current Galaxy S21 series lineup. It includes a centered hole-punch camera; a slightly curved edge display, which appears to be a quite large display.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra — S-Pen support
At the bottom, aligned with the USB Type-C, and the speaker grille, now we also have a dedicated S-Pen slot. This makes the alleged Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the official Galaxy S series device with a dedicated S-Pen slot after the famous Note series. With the S-Pen slot, the device, going by the images, looks a bit thicker, which could be inaccurate when it comes to the real world. Also, it is still unclear whether the non-ultra Galaxy S22 models will come with the same S-Pen slot.
We have seen a new design aesthetic for the camera module on this year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 models. Well, the alleged Galaxy S22 Ultra seems to come with yet another different approach. It appears we can witness cameras housed on the rear of the device individually rather than all placed in a single giant camera module. This pattern seems familiar to other Galaxy devices, which launched lately.
The report further denotes the alleged Galaxy S22 Ultra could ship with a 108MP primary camera. Followed by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and another 10MP 10x telephoto camera.
The alleged images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra images appear too good to be true. Considering the previous history of the tipster, these images can be close to being accurate. But given the launch, which is more than a couple of months from now, it could also mean that this is a prototype or a testing device, and not a final product. Henceforth, we recommend considering these images with a grain of salt, nonetheless.
