Galaxy S22

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022. The latest leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S22 from the flagship lineup will reportedly launch in India with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset instead of the Exynos 2200. On the contrary, earlier reports suggested that Samsung will follow the usual trend of launching flagship models with its own Exynos chipset in India. Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event sometime in February, possibly as early as February 8.

While the South Korean tech giant usually makes its flagship devices in both a Snapdragon and its Exynos chip variant, although Indian audiences are treated mostly with the latter. However, this might change according to tipster Tron. He has stated that the upcoming Galaxy S22 series Indian variant will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for the first time ever in the region.

As per the latest report by Gizmochina, Samsung is working on its next-generation Exynos 2022 chipset which is set to go live before Samsung’s Unpacked 2022 event. The highly anticipated chipset is expected to offer better graphics prowess along with improvements in overall performance. The company, however, has yet to reveal anything as of right now. But, the new report claims that the brand could be relying more on Qualcomm chips for its 2022 flagship smartphones.

So, this could be quite exciting news for Samsung Galaxy flagship buyers in India as up until now, the Snapdragon variant is considered as the superior version. It is also worth noting that there is nothing concrete from Samsung on this theory yet. So, we would suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt.
