Samsung appears to be on a spree of launching phones this week. It began with Galaxy A series devices that comprised five new models: Galaxy A13, Galaxy A23, Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G. There is yet another device launch today from the company in India. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is now official in the country. It comes with a monstrous battery like the predecessor Galaxy M series models and features a 120Hz display and a new Exynos chip.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G — Price in India

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G costs Rs 18,999 for the 6GB+128GB model. The 8GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 20,499. There are special introductory prices from Samsung that make the base model priced at Rs 17,999 and the larger storage variant at Rs 19,499. In addition, ICICI Bank users in India can avail of an instant cashback of Rs 2,000, making the device even cheaper.

Display

The Galaxy M33 5G features an Infinity-V display on the front measuring 6.6-inches. It comes with a Full HD+ resolution accompanied by a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung suggests that the new Galaxy M series device is designed to be an all-rounder tailored to Gen Z consumers in the country with promises of better performance.

Hardware

Samsung has equipped a 5nm Exynos chipset (unspecified) chipset underneath that promises clock speeds of up to 2.4GHz. It appears to be an Exynos 1280 SoC, 91Mobiles reports. It makes the device 5G capable with support of up to 12 5G Bands. For heat dissipation and to keep the device in a cool state, the Galaxy M33 5G also comes with a Power Cool Technology on the inside.

Despite having up to 8GB of RAM onboard, the device also supports the RAM Plus feature, giving you up to 16GB of virtual RAM. The Galaxy M33 5G ships with Android-based OneUI 4.1 out of the box.

Cameras

The Galaxy M33 5G relies on three cameras on the rear in a square module for optics. That includes a 50MP primary camera coupled with 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the Infinity-V display carries an 8MP selfie shooter. The cameras here incorporate features such as Single Take, Object Eraser, and Video TNR (Temporal Noise Reduction)

Battery

Like the predecessor Galaxy M models, the Galaxy M33 5G also has a prominent battery capacity. The device draws power from a 6000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging via a USB Type-C interface.

Other notable features on the Galaxy M33 5G include Voice Focus mode, which cuts background noise and further promises to amplify the receiver’s voice to have a crystal clear call. Auto Data switching mode lets you stay connected by switching mobile data modes to another SIM whenever the Primary SIM loses connection for some reason. For authentication, the device relies on a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
