Samsung Galaxy J6+ and J4+ with True HD+ display, side-fingerprint sensor, and dual rear cameras launched in India


Samsung has been showing peaked interest in the lives of budget smartphone consumers in India. The launch of its new Galaxy J series – J6+ and J4+ smartphones proves that. These new Galaxy smartphones are announced today by the South Korean giant. The pricing of these devices starts at Rs 10,990 for J4+ and Rs 15,990 for J6+.

If you’re looking to buy a Samsung device for around Rs 15,000, then you have possibly got better choices now. Why do we say that? Well, because Samsung has finally introduced a dual-rear camera smartphone in this price segment. Plus the highlight of the new J6+ smartphone is its fingerprint sensor placement, which is on the side button.

Samsung Galaxy J6+ & J4+ Specs


Both of the devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, whereas on the J6+ you’d see a combination of 4GB RAM/64GB storage, the J4+ will come with a 2GB RAM/32GB storage. Further, these two phones offer the same amount of battery capacity at 3300mAh. They both offer a large 6.0-inch 1480 x 720-pixel resolution display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

Running on the Android Oreo-based Samsung user interface, they come with different camera setup. The Galaxy J6+ packs a dual rear camera with 13MP + 5MP lenses, whereas the J4+ has a single 13MP lens at work on the rear. Talking about the selfie cameras, the J6+ has an 8MP front camera against the 5MP on J4+.

To spice up the experience, Samsung has made these phone compatible with Dolby Atmos sound system, which enables 360-degree surround sound system. There is a new Emotify feature that will allow users to customise the messages with avatars in 22 Indian languages. Thus offering “Make for India” solutions on its handsets.

These handsets go live on sale across all the retail partners offline as well as online. The online partner includes Amazon and Flipkart. There is a one-time screen replacement offer that can be purchased at an introductory price of Rs 999, valid till November 11.
