Launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup is the Samsung’s new wearables lineup. While we already knew about them, we didn’t have much information about their specifications. Thankfully now, Samsung has finally made them official. Behold, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, and the Samsung Galaxy Fit.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active
First up, is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. The Galaxy Watch Active is said to be the successor to the Gear Sport watch Samsung had launched earlier. It brings a bezel-less style display to the Galaxy Watch with a slightly smaller 1.1-inch display compared to the 1.2-inch display of the Samsung Gear Sport. What’s more, is that it is also slightly thicker at 10.5mm. But apart from its dimensions, the Galaxy Watch Active does come with a lot of features under the hood. It comes with an Exynos 9110, 230 mAh battery, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 768GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a heart rate monitor, and a stress sensor.
Additionally, it also comes with a new version of Tizen 220.127.116.11 which has been designed with Samsung’s One UI in mind. There’s also Bixby on the Galaxy Watch Active. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will launch for $199.99 (~Rs. 14,200) and be available for purchase on March 8th in Silver, Black, Rose Gold, and Sea Green. Pre-orders start on February 21st and will include a free wireless charging pad.
Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e
The new Galaxy Fit and Fit E are similar in design and function to the Gear Fit2 Pro bands. It comes with a rectangular screen that curves around the band. Like other Samsung fitness trackers, the Fit will auto-track your workout when you’re walking, running, cycling, rowing, hop on the elliptical, or do a dynamic workout. There are also more than 90 different activities in the Samsung Health app that you can manually choose from. The Galaxy Fit also comes with sleep tracking and stress monitoring, along with notifications. The Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e will be available in Q2 of 2019 in Black and Silver, with prices starting at just $99 (~Rs. 7,000).
