Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with Infinity-O display launched for Rs 37,999 approximately

On a surprise note, Samsung has today unveiled its latest mid-premium flagship smartphone in the home country, South Korea. The handset maker has announced a Galaxy A9 Pro, which is supposed to be the Pro variant of the quadruple rear camera-enabled phone, Galaxy A9 (2018). Essentially a re-branded version of the Galaxy A8s, which was launched in China in December last year. Let’s talk about the Galaxy A9 Pro specs and pricing below.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs

Packing a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The unique thing about this display is that it has a cut-out for selfie camera, instead of a notch to house selfie camera. The company is calling it an Infinity-O display, which is alternate naming for a punch-hole display. It is said to be an LCD display, which is quite unusual for Samsung to offer, as most of its phones in the price segment sport a Super AMOLED display. 

Talking about the internals, the Galaxy A9 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, which is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and is Als offered with 8GB of RAM as well. The internal storage, however, doesn’t have options, it comes with 128GB storage. The company has not mentioned whether the storage expansion slot is available or not. 

Coming to the camera department, the handset maker doesn’t offer quadruple rear cameras, unlike its sibling. But rather stick with a triple rear camera setup. This setup includes a 24MP resolution sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP resolution sensor, and a 5MP resolution sensor. All this is powered by a 3300mAh capacity battery. The handset will offer the usual connectivity features. 

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro price

The company has launched its latest mid-range premium handset at a price of 599,500 won, which translates to Rs 37,999 approximately. It will be available in three colours, Absolute Black, Black, and Blue. It would be available for purchase starting February 28, which is just after the company’s announcement of its flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S10.
