Samsung has launched its latest smartphone in the A-series, called the Galaxy A80. The Samsung Galaxy A80 comes with an innovative slider + rotating camera setup. This helps eliminate the notch entirely from the device. Let’s take a detailed look at the device.


Talking about the display of the Samsung Galaxy A80, it is a 6.7-inches display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is a Super AMOLED panel, which comes with a brightness level of 430 nits. The company teases that its display has a Capacitive, Multi-touch, Scratch resistant, 2.5D curved glass screen, 60000:1 contrast ratio, and 100% NTSC.


As far as the camera department is concerned, it packs a triple rear camera setup. Where the primary rear camera is of the 48.0MP (Sony IMX586) and the secondary rear camera is of 8.0MP (ultrawide lens). The third camera is 3D ToF. The highlight of this camera setup is that this rear camera setup in itself flips to convert to the selfie camera in a slider module. 

Hardware And Software

The Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G SoC, which is an Octa-core processor clocking at 2.2GHz. It is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage capacity. It will be running on the Samsung OneUI (Android 9.0 Pie). It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. As far as the battery life is concerned, its 3700mAh battery juice claims a day’s life. It supports 25W fast charging technology.
