Samsung to finally embrace the notch design with the Galaxy A8s

While the whole of the smartphone world has been moving towards notches, Samsung is the only brand that has stayed behind. And truth be told, it has earned a lot of respect for that as well. However, if recent rumors are to be believed, this might not be the case. The front panel of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8s has been leaked. And it seems like Samsung is finally hopping on the notch train.

Samsung Galaxy A8s

Recent leaks showcase the front panels for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8s. From the looks of it, the notch is quite minimalist. What’s more is that when you put it against the likes of Oppo and Vivo, the notch on the Galaxy A8s’ alleged panel looks to be quite smaller.

Infinity Displays

In accordance to previous leaks, the notch on the Galaxy A8s will be a part of the Infinity-U display. However, that is not the only design Samsung has up its sleeve. The Korean giant is said to be working on 3 notch designs alongside a full bezel-less display.

The notches are, as shown above, Infinity-U, Infinity-V, and Infinity-O. Lastly, there is a bezel-less “New Infinity” display, which is likely to be sported on the Galaxy S10.

Samsung Galaxy A8s specifications

As of now, the Galaxy A8s remains a rumored device. From what we know so far, the A8s would come with the Snapdragon 660 SoC. However, there is a possibility it might launch with upcoming Snapdragon 670 or the Snapdragon 675 SoC as well. As for memory, there would be 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage. Similar to the Galaxy A7, there would also be a triple camera setup on the back.
