Honor 9N might be priced under Rs 15,000: rumour

Honor 9n

It was recently publicized by Honor on its official Twitter handle that the Honor 9N is coming to India on July 24 indeed. And while the label is new, the device underneath is exactly not very new. Now, speculation is that the Honor 9N might be priced under Rs 15,000. That isn’t very surprising especially seeing that the handset is just a rebranded Honor 9i that was launched two months back in China.

Honor 9N Specifications

Take a look at what the Honor 9N will offer on paper. It has a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080p. It comes with a notch design and a 19:9 aspect ratio. That’s not anything special, but even the processor is from last year – the Kirin 659 SoC. It is to be complemented with 4GB of RAM and two storage options are available for the 9i – 64GB/128GB. That might be different with the Honor 9N but there will be micro SD cards as well.

The camera department is also not much very interesting as Honor stacks an array of 13MP + 2MP rear shooters on the back, and a single 16MP sensor on the front. It will come with Android Oreo pre-installed with EMUI 8.0.

The only silver lining with the Honor9N can be its build quality that is now a shiny glass-sandwiched design. In fact, it looks very much like an Honor 9 Lite with a notch.

Coming back to price, if Honor 9i price is any indication, the Honor 9N could very well cost less than Rs 15,000. The Honor 9i is priced 1,399 Yuan (around Rs 13,000) and 1,699 Yuan (around Rs 16,500) for the two variants mentioned above.
