JioPhone Next, the most affordable, Google-backed smartphone from Reliance Jio, is all set to hit the stores on September 10th across the country and it seems that the company is gearing up for the big launch. Introduced in June 2021, at the Reliance AGM conference, JioPhone next is the first product to come out in partnership with Google.
Pre-bookings of the handset are expected to begin soon but before that more information about the JioPhone Next price in India and its sale structure has been witnessed online.
A recent report by ET Now suggests that customers will be able to book the JioPhone Next at Rs. 500 only. The report further suggests Jio is planning to sell 50 million units in the next 6 months and for that, the telecom network is said to have partnered with State Bank of India, Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure, and DMI Finance. Combined, these vowed to do a business of Rs 10,000 crores.
JioPhone Next To Be Launched in 2 Models
As per reports, the JioPhone Next is tipped to be launched in two models. One will be the JioPhone Next Basic model, which will cost around Rs 5,000. The other one will be JioPhone Next Advance — which will be priced around Rs 7,000. However, the exact price of the JioPhone Next is not clear yet.
Buy JioPhone Next for just Rs 500?
To make the purchase convenient for JioPhone next customers, Reliance Jio will be coming up with this scheme in which buyers won’t have to pay the full amount while purchasing. Instead, customers can pay just 10% of the phone’s price and the remaining price can be paid to the above-mentioned banks and finance companies through EMI.
In short, you can book the Basic model by paying just Rs 500 and the rest through easy-EMI options. Similarly, the Advanced model can be booked for just Rs 700.
JioPhone Next Rumoured Specs
Besides this, key specs of the smartphone were shared by a tipster on Twitter. According to him, the JioPhone Next will sport a 5.5-inch HD display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 215 chipset and paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of onboard storage. It is further tipped to get a single 13-megapixel rear sensor, and an 8-megapixel shooter is on the front. In addition, the JioPhone Next could ship with a 2500mAh battery.
