Xiaomi is kickstarting the new year with the global launch of Redmi Note 9T 5G. While Xiaomi India has already started 2021 with Mi 10i 5G launch, the Chinese handset maker is now up for a global launch. The company started teasing the smartphone on its social channels. It hints us what to expect from the upcoming Redmi Note series phone. The teaser implies that it is indeed a 5G capable phone and also featuring a circular camera module on the rear.

Redmi Note 9T 5G — Rumored/Expected Specifications

The official teasers of the device don’t reveal much of the specs apart from 5G capabilities and launch date. However, there are leaked Amazon listings (courtesy Droidholics) and leaked official renders (courtesy tipster Abhishek Yadav), which tell us more about the device. These leaks suggest that it’s a rebranded Redmi Note 9 5G smartphone, which launched in China, last year.

The leaked teaser images of the Redmi Note 9T indicate that it will be coming with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. This happens to be the same chipset that powered the Redmi Note 9 5G. The upcoming device also matches when it comes to design front, considering the leaked teaser images. The Note 9T comes with identical punch hole placement upfront. And, also uses a similar circular camera module on the rear. It also incorporates triple rear cameras as the Note 9 5G.

The teased images further indicate a 48MP primary sensor, a 6.53-inches display, a 5000mAh battery, 18W fast charging, and NFC support. Again, all these match the Note 9 5G smartphone. Henceforth, it is safe to say that the upcoming Redmi Note 9T 5G is indeed a rebranded Redmi Note 9 5G launching on January 8th, globally.

Redmi Note 9T 5G — Leaked Pricing

The leaked Amazon listing further reveals the pricing of the upcoming device alongside its storage options. The Redmi Note 9T 5G could come in 4GB of RAM option coupled with either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage variant. The listing implies 4GB+64GB variant could retail at €229.90 (Rs 21,000 approx.) and the larger 4GB+128GB could cost €269.90 (Rs 24,300 approx.)
