Redmi Note 7 with Snapdragon 660 and 48MP AI dual rear camera launched in China

Today, the Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has introduced its sub-brand Redmi to the world. Its first phone of the sub-brand would be the Redmi Note 7. The popular handset maker has made it clear now that it plans to dominate the market with the introduction of the second sub-brand after the POCO brand introduction last year. Let’s talk about the Redmi Note 7 specs, price, and availability below.

Sporting a 6.3-inch fullHD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The display will have a water drop notch as seen previously on a Xiaomi Mi Play. The brightness levels are set at 450 nits. Further, it would be supported by a 2.5D curved glass design. 

Coming to the internals of the Redmi Note 7, the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s mid-range chipset, quite powerful as it has previously powered Mi A2 in India and several other Mi phones. The device would be coming with a 4000mAh capacity battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. It will be sporting a USB type-C port. Note that the company didn’t get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack in case you’re worried about. 

Talking about the camera department, the rear camera experience would be powered by a massive 48MP camera along with a secondary depth sensor of 5MP. The primary lens is manufactured by Samsung, its called GM1 and its a massive 1.6 micron size sensor, the largest yet for a smartphone camera. The company claims that the pictures taken by its new Redmi phone are poster-level HD photos for printing use. The selfie camera is powered by a 13MP sensor.

Redmi Note 7 price

The 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage model will go for retail at 999 Yuan, which is roughly a Rs 10,500. That’s an incredible pricing considering the camera specifications it offers. Further, the 4GB model with 64GB storage will retail at 1199 Yuan (Rs 12,000 approx.) and the 6GB model with 64GB storage will go for 1399 Yuan (Rs 14,000 approx.).
