Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro online listing reveals major specs; confirms dual-front cameras and SD636 SoC

Xiaomi is the budget king of the Indian smartphone market and there’s not an iota of doubt about it. Keeping in line with its vision of ruling the global market, the company is all set to release the Redmi Note 6 Pro. As could be expected, the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro has been subjected to various leaks and rumours. Recently, we saw live images and video of the phone online. Today, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has been listed online for sale.

Evidently, we know all the major specs and features of the phone. However, we have got to admit that the device isn’t too different from its predecessor. Let’s look at the leaked specs of the Redmi Note 6 Pro.

The phone has been mentioned to carry a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280p. The aspect ratio of the display is likely to be 19:9 and it will feature a notch as well. In the images, we can see thinner bezels on the top and bottom of the device, if compared to its predecessor. The Redmi Note 6 Pro will also run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB ROM. The internal memory of the phone will be expandable by up to 128GB. 

The dual rear camera setup will have a 12MP + 5MP sensor with a dual LED Flash. As for the front camera, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will carry a dual 20MP + 2MP set up as well. This is probably one of the biggest upgrades that this phone has over its predecessor. The battery capacity on the device is mentioned to be 4000mAh which is more than enough for a full day of use. The fingerprint sensor is placed below the rear camera setup according to the leaked images. The listing also mentions a hybrid slot for SIM cards. 

Redmi Note 6 Pro

The phone is likely to arrive with Android 8.1 Oreo with MiUI 10 on top. It is available in Black, Blue, Rose Gold and Red colours. However, you must note that this listing has the “Global” version of this phone and the Indian version might come with some changes. The price of the smaller variant is $200 which converts to Rs 14,500 (approx).
