Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been crowned as India’s number one phone numerous times and now, its successor has started getting coverage in the rumor mill. It is speculated that the device will be called Redmi Note 5 and many websites have posted about its leak and rumors. The latest leak to catch our attention has surfaced on a Chinese reseller, OppoMart. The alleged Redmi Note 5 has been spotted on OppoMart with some of its specs and features.
However, you should take all of these specs with a grain of salt since OppoMart is known for posting inaccurate news.
According to the leak, the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.99″ screen Full HD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio of the alleged Redmi Note 5 will be 18:9, thanks to the resolution and screen size. As you might have guessed, the phone will have very thin bezels, according to OppoMart.
The Redmi Note 5 is listed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, clocked at 2.0 GHz. This is the part which is a little hard to believe because Xiaomi changes the processors in the Redmi Note series every year! It is important to mention that the other leaks have stated the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor!
The phone will allegedly have a front camera with 12 MP sensor and the selfie shooter will have a 5 MP sensor. Other reports have also claimed that the Redmi Note 5 is highly unlikely to feature dual cameras. The device showed up on TENAA a few days ago as well!
The Redmi Note 5 will have a 4,000mAh battery and it will run Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top! The device will have two variants. The first variant will have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM and the second variant will have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM! The variants are same as that of the Redmi Note 4 and we can never be sure if that is what’s in store for us where the Redmi Note 5 is concerned!
