Xiaomi has just confirmed the launch date of the Redmi 6 Pro today. The handset that passed TENAA with the Redmi 6 model will be shown off at a launch event set for June 25. That also incidentally coincides with the Mi Pad 4 launch that is on the same day.
The Redmi 6 Pro is like an open book to read, courtesy of its previous liaison with TENAA. It is a new version in the Redmi line just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro is for the Redmi Note line. Also, it kind of blurs the line between entry-level and mid-range for Xiaomi devices.
Redmi 6 Pro Specifications
Taking a quick detour of specifications, the Redmi 6 Pro is expected to be a strong offering with powerful core internals. It might feature a tried and tested Snapdragon 636 chip, a 5.84-inch Full-HD+ display with a notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Apart from the notch, also expect to see thick bezels on the all edges.
The Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 12MP + 5MP rear shooter beneath which sits a fingerprint reader. It does come with a traditional big battery, this time it’s just a tad bit smaller – 3,900mAh as shown by TENAA.
We don’t have details about variants but it can go from 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, all the way to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Xiaomi’s first Redmi phone with a notch runs Android 8.1 Oreo and could get MIUI 10 as well out-of-the-box.
