Realme XT with 64MP quad cameras unveiled in India

After the immense success of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the company has decided to continue its momentum. Just a day before the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realme has unveiled the Realme XT, which is now the world’s first phone with a 64MP quad-camera setup. Let’s take a look.

Realme XT Display & Hardware

Sporting a 6.4-inch display with a resolution of FHD+ (2340 x 1080), it offers a 450 nits brightness. The display comes with corning gorilla glass 3+ support and has a screen to body ratio of 92.1%. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Note that the storage is expandable on all the variants.

Realme XT Camera & Connectivity

Coming to the camera department, it packs a quadruple setup on the rear. Housing a 64MP primary sensor (Samsung ISOCELL GW1), it teases high-quality photography. The quad-camera setup includes lenses offering normal, wide-angle, macro and portrait shots technology on one smartphone.

The primary lens is of f/1.8 aperture, the secondary lens is of 8MP and offers f/2.25 aperture size. It’s a wide-angle lens offering 119-degree FOV (Field of View). There is a macro lens of 2MP resolution offering f/2.4 aperture and 4cm focus distance. The fourth lens is of 2MP resolution, and it also offers an f/2.4 aperture, but it is specially made for portrait shots.

On the front, you’d see a selfie camera with 16MP resolution. It comes with 4 in 1 Pixel technology, f/2.0 aperture, HDR and AI Beautification support. As far as stabilization is concerned, it offers EIS, electronics image stabilization.  The device would be running on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie.

Talking about the biometric security, it comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear and doesn’t promote the in-display fingerprint sensor. At the price point, it is offered, we believe it wouldn’t be able to provide such tech. The battery capacity of the phone is at 4000mAh and supports VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging with USB Type-C.

Realme XT Price In India

As of now, there has been no word about the pricing or the full launch of the Realme XT here in India. Essentially, the Realme XT seems to be the Realme 5 Pro, only with an updated 64MP primary sensor. Considering the fact that the 8+128GB variant of the 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 16,999, we expect the Realme XT to be priced near the Rs. 18,000 price tag.
