Realme has today unveiled its flagship smartphone in India. After introducing the Realme X2 Pro late last year, its first flagship in India, the young smartphone maker has unveiled its second flagship quite early this year. The new phone is dubbed as Realme X50 Pro 5G, and that’s exactly what it’s being called in China. We saw the X50 launched late last year in China. But the Pro variant has first come to India, while it is also scheduled to be unveiled in Barcelona at MWC 2020 event.
Realme X50 Pro – Specifications
Sporting a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, it has a Full-HD+ resolution and corning gorilla glass 5 protection. It weighs 207 grams and is being offered with Realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box. It is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 865 SoC. It is will be available in various RAM ad storage configurations.
There is a total of three RAM variants, 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB, while the storage will be made available in two variants, i.e, 128GB and 256GB. Speaking about the battery details, it will be offering a massive 65W fast charging technology packed inside a 4200mAh capacity battery. The 10V/6.5A charging brick will be made available inside the retail unit. This USB Type-C port enabled smartphone will get charged super fast.
Moving on to the camera department, it will be housing a quadruple rear camera setup and a dual selfie camera setup. First talking about the rear setup, it is lead by a 64MP sensor, which is capable of 20X zoom. The second leading in command is the 8MP lens, which is ultra-wide and macro in nature. The 12MP telephoto lens is the third in the commandment. For the portrait captures, it has a B&W portrait sensor. Speaking about the selfie camera setup, it has a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens working together for the selfie shots.
Now coming to the connectivity features, it claims to be India’s first 5G network-enabled smartphone. Offering support of 5G network bands which are not yet operational in India, or many countries. But when operational, this handset will support them not just in India but across many nations. This could be a future-ready handset.
The audio experience is accompanied by dual speaker support offering a super linear range. There are certifications like Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, which makes sure you have a quality sound output. There is a multi-function NFC feature, which supports Google Pay service. As far as the biometric security is concerned, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has dual Wi-FI and Wi-Fi 6 support for fast connectivity.
Realme X50 Pro – Price & Availability
The all-new flagship smartphone is priced at Rs 37,999 for 6GB + 128GB, while Rs 39,999 for 8GB + 128GB. The 12GB + 256GB model will go on sale for Rs 44,999. Realme says its all-new X50 Pro will be available in two colours including Moss Green and Rust Red. The first sale of the phone will start from 6 PM today on Flipkart and Realme online store.
