Realme X coming to India soon, CEO Madhav Seth confirms on Twitter

Madhav Seth, CEO of Realme India has shared on his twitter handle that Realme X is coming soon to India. The handset which was launched in China with pop-up selfie camera is all set to arrive in India. Unfortunately, we don’t know the date yet, but rest assured it might not late for the game that’s about to heat up in India with Redmi K20 series launch later this month. 

Realme has been doing great in India, the company has been sharing the units sales figures on its social handles. For a 1-year-old smartphone brand, it has done a commendable job. While the brand has phones in almost all categories, it hasn’t gone above Rs 20,000 pricing, or in other words, they haven’t tackled a premium smartphone category yet. But that is about to change with the announcement of Realme X. 

Realme X – What to expect from the device?

Realme X will be the most premium offering from the brand yet. While the China variant pricing started from Rs 15,500 approximately to Rs 18,500 approximately. But India pricing may see a change, as the handset maker is believed to putting its Realme X in India against Redmi K20 Series, which is due for launch later this month. 

Interesting to note, Madhav Seth has tweeted that India would be receiving the master edition – Onion and Garlic design editions. 

Realme X Specifications

Sporting a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is said to be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen-to-body ratio is 91.2%. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor on this phone. 

Talking about the internals, the Realme X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, which is available on Realme 3 Pro. The rear camera is of 48MP resolution with f/1.7 aperture and is accompanied by a 5MP with f/2.4 aperture. Whereas there is a 16MP selfie camera, which is a pop-up in nature. 

The battery capacity is at 3765 mAh capacity battery, which supports Super VOOC 3.0 fast charging. This will be a dual Nano Sim enabled device with USB Type-C port, Dolby Atmos support, Bluetooth 5, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and GPS. It will be running on the Color OS 6 based on Android Pie.
