realme Race is the new flagship smartphone from the company to feature the latest premium 5G chipset from Qualcomm. The new flagship device codenamed ‘Race’ features the new SoC. The chipset maker has announced the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC, the successor to the Snapdragon 865 chipset that powered all the premium Android smartphones including realme’s, last year.

realme Race — ‘Race’ codename

realme is introducing the new flagship smartphone with codename ‘Race’. It will be one of the first flagship smartphones to feature the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. The flagship will launch next year, which naturally becomes another future-ready 5G smartphone from realme. This announcement comes after the recent launch of the next-gen 5G chipset, Snapdragon 888’s launch, which took place in a virtual Tech Summit.

The new 888 SoC brings in several improvements to the gaming and camera capabilities along with 5G. There are several AI engine enhancements on the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC as well. The chipset also promises a 35% overall GPU performance from its predecessor.

The company also promises to utilise this latest powerful snapdragon chipset to make its upcoming flagship deliver next-gen gaming, video and communication capabilities.
