Not long ago, Realme came up with a new notebook, the Realme Book (Slim). It appears the company is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to product categories. Realme already has a slew of products be it smartphones, fitness bands, smartwatches, IoT products, to name a few. The company today has announced its first-ever tablet — the Realme Pad. It features a large prominent display, equips a MediaTek Helio processor, and has a monstrous battery. The Realme Pad comes in two models: a Wi-Fi-only model, and a 4G LTE + Wi-Fi model.

While the entry model will be available in the market later this year. The 4G LTE+Wi-Fi models’ first sale is on September 16th. Consumers can buy the Realme Pad through realme.com, Flipkart and other retail stores.
Design and Display
The latest tablet offering from Realme provides a massive 10.4-inches display. The company says that it is a WUXGA+ Immersive display. It stands for widescreen ultra extended graphics array and is a type of display resolution, the website suggests). Realme further suggests that this display is capable of giving users an immersive experience during gameplay or watching content. The screen here offers a 2000 x 1200 resolution and a screen to body ratio of 82.5%.
The Realme Pad also claims to be a tablet that is light in weight, measuring 6.9mm in thickness and weighing around 440 grams. It features two colour variants: Real Gold, and Real Grey.
There is MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC powering the Realme Pad which is an octa-core processor with promised clock speeds of up to 2.0GHz. It is one of the most prominent chipsets found in most of the lower mid-range phones. For graphics, the tablet comes with Mali G52 950MHz GPU. The device comes with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of onboard storage. The Realme Pad runs on realme UI, which is optimised for the tablet format.
The Realme Pad equips an 8MP rear camera on the rear. There’s another 8MP HD camera on the front with a 105-degree field of view for video calls. It supports face recognition, for authentication as well.
There is a large 7100mAh battery powering the Realme Pad. It promises a twelve-hour video playback on a single charge and 65-days of standby time. The tablet also supports reverse charging and 18W fast charge through USB Type-C.
The other highlights of the Realme Pad include Dolby Atmos Quad Speakers, besides Hi-Res audio certification.
