After the successful launch in China last month, Realme GT is now official in India. The OEM maker has introduced two new devices under its Realme GT flagship series: the Realme GT and the Realme GT Master Edition. The standard GT comes with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 SoC, while the master edition debuts with a new Snapdragon 778G processor, which we have seen earlier on the Motorola Edge 20.
The Realme GT costs Rs 37,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, and the larger 12GB+256GB retails at Rs 41,999. These will be available for purchase on realme website, and Flipkart. The first sale will be commencing on August 25th. As part of the Flipkart smart upgrade offer, users can avail the smartphone for as low as Rs 26,599.
Realme GT — Design and Display
The Realme GT interestingly features a dual-tone leather design, and the device comes in three colour variants: Racing Yellow, Dashing Silver, and Dashing Blue. Realme says the device comes with anti-odour and crack treatment, is fingerprint resistant, and promises to withstand wear and tear conditions.
The Realme GT features a 6.43-inches Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display comes with a 91.7% screen to body ratio and can achieve maximum peak brightness of 1000 nits. The display also utilises dual ambient light sensors for consumers to have a more comfortable viewing experience in darker environments.
Realme GT — Snapdragon 888
Under the hood, the Realme GT equips a Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform. The 5G capable handset is said to be supporting the following 5G bands: n1/n3/ n28A, n41 (2496-2690 MHz) / n78/ n79 NSA NR : n41/ n77/ n78/ n79. The chipset accompanies up to 12GB of RAM (LPDDR5) and Dynamic RAM expansion (gets an additional 7GB of RAM). Onboard storage includes UFS 3.1 with options including either 128GB or 256GB.
Moreover, the Realme GT also equips stainless steel vapour cooling underneath, and its design is said to be 42% stronger than the conventional copper VC system. The cooling power is also said to be increased by 50%.
Realme GT — Cameras
The Realme GT has a triple rear camera setup featuring a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. These rear cameras include many photography functions comprising 64MP mode, Super Night mode, HDR, Ultra-wide, Ultra macro, to name a few. The cameras support up to 4K video recording at 30fps and support EIS and UIS, super night mode, portrait mode, and ultra steady video mode.
The optics on the front include a 16MP in-display selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.5 and a 78-degree field of view. It also supports fewer photography functions like Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Panoramic view, and HDR. The front camera settles at 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Realme GT — Battery
There is a decent 4500mAh battery capacity powering the Realme GT, which charges through USB Type-C. It supports Realme’s 65W SuperDart Charge, and the corresponding adapter will be included in the retail packaging.
The other highlights of the device include Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, supports Bluetooth 5.2, has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the device ships with Android 11-based realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
